Duve improved the integration capabilities with Opera and Optima PMS. This update focuses on refining the data synchronization process, particularly for key guest information fields. The primary goal is to ensure a more comprehensive and efficient data flow between Duve and the PMS, enhancing the guest management experience.
Overview
Our hosts collect comprehensive guest information, for all guests (Main Booker and Companions) and ensure its accuracy in the PMS. For guests who have already visited the hotel or chain, the data already exists in the PMS.
Guest information which exists on the Guest Profile includes:
- Nationality
- Date of birth
- Passport/ID
- Document issue date
In case those fields already existed in the PMS, our hosts can decide whether Duve should display these questions to guests. The host can enable a toggle per question in order to allow guests to edit the information that is pulled from the PMS.
For example, if a reservation is created in Duve with a specific nationality or Date of Birth, the guest can confirm the information and proceed with the Check in. In case it is incorrect or not up to date for the main booker or a companion, the guest can edit it directly in the Duve Online Check-in.
How to Set It Up
In Custom Questions, a new toggle has been added to allow hosts to choose to display data already collected in the PMS. By default, the toggle will be turned on for all accounts (both new and existing), ensuring that all fields are visible by default.
Regardless of the pre-existence of guest data in Optima or Opera PMS, Duve will now consistently display basic and custom questions to both the main booker and their companions in case the host enables the toggle. After any modifications, Duve will re-sync the new data back to the Optima or Opera PMS.
This configuration can be turned off per Custom Question.
Use Cases:
Now, you can allow guests to edit existing details that appear in the guest app for the main booker and for their companion.
- When the toggle is enabled, Duve will show the questions and answers for the main booker and companions if the value could be pulled by the PMS
- In the Pre Check-in, the custom questions will present the answers as well. The guest can confirm the answer or update them if they wish.
- When the toggle is disabled, in case there is an answer already, Duve won't show the values again.
- In the Pre Check-in, the guest will not see any pre-populated data and they have to fill in the field in order to advance to the next step.
