New! Date of Birth condition for Scheduled Messages (supported only for Opera 5.6)

Duve is excited to announce a new feature that allows hosts using Opera 5.6 PMS to send personalized birthday marketing emails to their guests. This feature is designed to enhance guest engagement by recognizing special occasions like birthdays, especially when they are not staying at the hotel.

The condition allows sending birthday emails to guests whose birthdays do not coincide with their stay at the hotel. This strategy is based on using the Date of Birth field from Opera as a primary data source, which is populated and updated through Duve's online pre-check-in.

 

A new field titled 'Date of Birth' will be added under the 'Booker' subsection in reservations. This field will display the guest’s date of birth as appears in the PMS. Then, it can be used as a trigger in Scheduled Messages. Time operators include 'In the next,' 'Occurred,' and 'Exactly,' with options for today, days, weeks, or months.

 

For example, a condition can be set as 'Guest date of birth is exactly today' to trigger a birthday email on today's date. 

 

 

In order to pull the value from Opera and make it not encrypted, hosts need to allow the flow of DOB data in the OWS responses to Duve
