As part of the recent development Duve released, all failed Whatsapp messages were sent as an SMS fallback by default. In order to provide fully customized for hosts, Duve has updated the logic for scheduled messages. This change aims to provide more flexibility and control over message delivery channels, reducing unnecessary SMS charges.

The recent updates to the scheduled messages feature introduce a more efficient fallback mechanism, prioritizing cost-effective channels. Here’s an overview of the new logic:
- Channel Order Update:
- The order of message channels on the Scheduled Messages page has been updated to:
- SMS
- Chat
- The order of message channels on the Scheduled Messages page has been updated to:
- Enhanced Fallback Logic:
- When sending a WhatsApp message via scheduled messages and encountering an error:

- If SMS is selected as a channel, send the fallback message as SMS.
- If SMS is not selected, send the fallback message as Chat.

- Tooltips:
- Hosts can find a tooltip next to the WhatsApp and SMS checkboxes to provide more information:
- Scope of SMS Fallback:
- The SMS fallback is applied only for scheduled messages and not for manual messages via the communication hub or start a chat.
- Fallback SMS will be sent only when messages fail via scheduled messages
- Checkbox Order:
- The order of checkboxes has been changed to: WhatsApp, SMS, Chat, and Email.
