We’re excited to introduce a new enhancement to the Smart Early Check-In (ECI) upsell feature: the ability to apply conditions to control who sees the upsell. This new functionality ensures that ECI offers are shown only to the most relevant guests, giving hosts greater flexibility and precision.
What’s New
With the new conditions, you can now customize your Early Check-In upsell to target specific groups of guests. Here’s what you can do:
- Booking Source: Choose to show the Early Check-In upsell to guests based on how they booked (e.g., OTA bookings, direct website bookings, or travel agent bookings).
- VIP Guests: Create special rules for guests with VIP codes, or add new VIP codes for unique offers. - only supported for Opera PMS
- Arrival Method: Target guests based on how they’re arriving, such as by flight, train, car, or other methods.
- Stay History: Offer ECI upsells based on the guest’s past number of stays (e.g., frequent guests or first-time visitors). Only available for Mews, Opera, and Optima PMSs.
- Guest Purchases: Include or exclude guests based on their previous purchases through Duve.
- Membership Type: Show the upsell to guests with a specific membership or loyalty status. only supported for Opera & Optima PMS
How It Works
- In the Early Check-In upsell setup, you’ll find a new Conditions option.
- Use the simple pop-up interface to choose who should see the offer based on the above criteria.
- Add one or more conditions to fine-tune your offer. For example, you can create a rule that shows the ECI upsell only to OTA guests who are arriving by flight.
