Companion Support for Cloudbeds – Duve

Create Companions in Cloudbeds Guest Profile from Duve:

Duve has added new capabilities to our integration with Cloudbeds in order to create companion profiles in each reservation per guest. The feature is supported both for a companion in main reservations and companions in the sub-reservations.

The information that can be pushed back for each companion is:

First name
Last name
Email
Phone
Gender
Address
City
State
Country
Zip code
Birth Date
Document Type
Document number

Supported Companion Sync:
New Reservations - adding or adjusting companions during the Reservation creation process

Existing Reservations - companions are only updated if the companions are new (created in the Guest Details page of the Reservation)

To set up:

Go to the Check-in > Basic Details page. For each field, click on the icon to change which information you would like to collect per guest.

The following fields MUST be set to all guests and the Restrict Unique answer per guest must be enabled

First Name
Last Name (must be set as mandatory but should not be set as Unique Answer per guest)
Email
Country
- Field Match - 'Address - Country'

Go to Custom Questions to set up the rest of the questions you would like to ask your guests.

In order for the information to sync back to Cloudbeds, each question should be set up with the corresponding field match with the field name only -

Field Name List

Address = Address

Address City = Address - City

Address Country = Address - Country*

mandatory for each guest in order to create companions
must be a multiple choice format
must have the 'List of Countries'

Address Zip Code = Zip Code

Date of Birth = Date of Birth

must be Date Format

ID/Passport Number = ID / Passport

Passport Issue Date = Date of Issue

must be Date Format

Document Type = Type of Document (only passport is supported)

must be multiple choice format

Gender = Gender

must be a multiple choice format
must have the 'Female' and 'Male' written out

When setting up the custom question, ensure that you are setting up the 'Request more than one answer' if you need to collect the information for a group of guests in the Reservation:

Best Practice:

The date of Birth and issue Date should be set up with the 'Date' format
Nationality and Address (Country) should be set up as a Multiple Choice question, with a list of options being 'List by Countries'
Gender can be set up as a free text or Multiple-choice question
If you have set up the First Name and Last Name in the Basic Details page, you do not need to set up additional Custom Questions and add the field Match

Important to Note:

Document Type and the Required Document upload is only supported to be synced back to Cloudbeds only for main bookers.
Companion Sync is not supported for adding existing companion profiles to existing reservations.
