New! Regulatory Reporting for German Hosts

Duve now supports Regulatory Reporting for Germany through our existing Chekin integration, enabling hosts to automatically transmit required guest data to local authorities and stay compliant with German guest registration laws.

This feature is essential for hosts operating in Germany, where certain regions offer guest benefits (like free public transportation) upon successful guest registration with local authorities.

Reach out to your Customer Success Manager or to Duve's Support Team to request to enable Regulatory Reporting integration.

How to Set it Up?

In Duve Settings → Connections → Regulatory Reporting, click '+Add New'.

Property Mapping:
Connect each property to be mapped to the relevant German police authority within the Regulatory Reporting settings.

🔁 Mapping is required per property and determines where guest data is submitted.

Guest Experience

During the guest's online check-in, Duve:

• Dynamically displays mandatory questions based on German authority requirements (retrieved via Chekin).

• Collects and validates all required data from the guest.

Automated Data Transmission

Once the guest completes pre-check-in:

• Duve automatically sends guest data to Chekin via API.

• Chekin then submits the data to the appropriate German authority (such as via the AVS portal).

• No manual steps are required by the host.

⚠️ Duve follows Chekin’s retry policy for any failed transmissions.

Status Updates

• Once the authority processes the submission, Chekin sends the status back to Duve.

• Hosts can view the current status in:

  • Reservation → Regulatory Reporting section

  • Tasks page → Regulatory Reporting status

  • And in Regulatory Reporting dashboard (for more detailed data)

Statuses include:

• Pending

• Approved

• Rejected

🧪 Testing & Limitations

• ✅ Testing: Currently, test mode is not available. Once enabled, all data is sent to the authorities in real time.

 Troubleshooting

• Failed transmission? Duve will automatically retry based on Chekin’s retry policy.

• Rejected submission? Check the detailed status in your Chekin dashboard for rejection reason.

• Logs Available:

  • API request/response logs between Duve and Chekin

  • Status changes

  • Error logs
