Duve has introduced a new capability that enables dynamic pricing for room upgrades, leveraging real-time pricing fetched directly from the OHIP PMS. This new feature allows hotels to enhance revenue by offering up-to-date pricing on room upgrades.
The system fetches live nightly rates to calculate upgrade prices in real-time, ensuring that guests receive accurate pricing and that hotel operations are more streamlined.
How to Set It Up
To enable dynamic pricing for room upgrades through the OHIP PMS, follow these steps:
Go into OHIP PMS, Go to Admin > Financial > Rate Management > Rate Codes
Click on Search to get the full list.
Copy the Rate Codes which are relevant for each Room type.
2 Options
- Fixed Price Type - Duve will check the Rate Code synced from Ideas to determine which amount to show to the guest. If there are any errors in the sync, Duve will show the fallback price
- % of Accommodation - Percentage of the Nightly Rate pulled for the reservation from the PMS

Add the desired Rate Code from the OHIP Account to the field in the Room Upgrade.

Enable Live Pricing:

- In the Advanced Options, toggle the option: ‘Check live pricing from OHIP PMS’ to fetch the latest nightly rates.
- When live rates are not available, Duve will fall back to static pricing (pre-configured in Duve).
- In the Advanced Options, toggle the option: ‘Check live pricing from OHIP PMS’ to fetch the latest nightly rates.
- Real-Time Updates:
- Dynamic pricing requests will be triggered:
- When the guest app or online check-in page is opened.
- When guests navigate to the Room Upgrade section.
- Upon price changes during the guest’s checkout journey.

- Notifications will be sent to guests in the app and via email to reflect real-time price updates.
