Please follow the instructions to complete the reports setup for connection to Opera on Prem v5.
In order to start the process, please inquire with Duve Support.
To start the process, ensure that you have all the information from Duve Support to start and all the permissions to access the reports.
- Download the file sent to you by Duve Support
- Save the email address sent to you by Duve Support
Go to Opera onPrem instance and go to PMS.
- Go to the Configuration menu
- Create the report for reservation updates:
- Name = <HOTELCODE> - Duve Reservation Updates Report
- ✅Opera Simple report
- File name = reservationupdates
- Report Group = Reservation(s)-> Click “Customize”
- On the bottom left of the screen, click “Import” and select the reservationsupdates.osr configuration file that was uploaded earlier.
- After the selecting the report file and agreeing to import you might receive the following prompt:
Please select “No” for every window, if not available - then “Yes”.
- Save the changes - Click OK (bottom right) -> Click OK
- Create another report that will be used for Full Sync. In the same window with reports, select “New” and fill in the following details:
- Name = <HOTELCODE> - Duve Reservation Full Sync Report
- ✅Opera Simple report
- File name = reservationfullsync
- Report Group = Reservation(s)-> Click “Customize”
- On the bottom left of the screen, click “Import” and select the reservationsupdates.osr configuration file that was uploaded earlier. Repeat the steps with “No”/”Yes” if prompted.
- Now you need to edit the filters of the report:
- Click on Filters
- In the window on the right side of the screen, you will see current filter - 2 lines based on the Update Date
- Please select the first line and click on the top arrow in the middle of the screen (<), it should remove the filter.
- Repeat for the second line
- In the list on the left side of the screen, please find a filter called “Arrival Date” and use an arrow (>)to move it to the right side
- On the bottom, you will be able to customize how the filter works:
- In the first column, select “Between”
- In the second column, select “Parameter”
- Then, the third column will appear, please select “Parameter”
- Select “Save” -> the Arrival date filter will appear on the right list
- Click on Filters
- Select “OK” -> Select “OK”
- Select “Close”
- Select “Exit” to close the Opera Configuration menu
- Now, you can schedule the report. Go out of Opera Configuration and go in the Opera PMS, please navigate to Miscellaneous → Reports Scheduler → Select “New”
- Search for the report created in Step 1, Duve Reservation Updates;
- Select the relevant report from the list
- Check the ‘Print to File’ option (if not available - ‘Fax - Email”)
- Change the ‘File Format’ to “DELIMITED DATA”
- Set the ‘Delimiter’ to “|” (this is a Pipe or Bar, it can be selected from the drop down too)
- Select “OK”
- Define the schedule frequency of the report: recommended 1 hour (could also be 30 mins)
- If prompted - add a recipient email in the field “Email TO” - open the Opera Reports connection in their Duve account, turn on the toggle and copy the email address from the connection into the Opera Account
Paste it here without the “host.”:
- Select “OK” -> Select “File”
- Make sure that the email copied without the “host.”:
- move on to the reservation full sync file.
- Go back to the main Opera PMS application, Navigate to Miscellaneous → Reports
- Find the Flush report in the list (use keyword HOTELCODE) and select it
- On the bottom, please choose “Print to File”, (if not available, don’t select anything)
- Format as “DELIMITED DATA”, and Delimiter as “|” -> Select “OK”
- On the next screen, you will be prompted to select the timeframe for the arrival date filter - select 2 weeks in the past to 1 year in the future
