We are excited to announce the evolution of our WiFi and Access Codes feature. Duve is changing its logic to enhance your convenience and control over these critical parameters. This article will guide you through the changes and how they will affect your interactions with Duve's platform.
Overview
New Access Codes Logic |
Current Visibility Logic
Our existing logic hides the "Access codes" & "WiFi" parameters until an Arrival communication (email/SMS or WhatsApp) is sent. As we continuously aim to optimize our user experience, we are removing this hardcoded logic. However, we are maintaining the option to display these details according to your preferences.
New Visibility Logic
From now on, your visibility settings will apply to dynamic parameters in all communication channels, such as chat, WhatsApp, emails, and our guest app. The arrival email page will not undergo any changes.
Migration for Existing Customers
For existing customers, we have set migration rules to adapt your current settings to the new system. Your settings for the "Access codes" and "WiFi" visibility will align with the current scheduling of your Arrival messaging (email/SMS/WhatsApp) set up under Arrival Info. If a host is using multiple arrival messages, the visibility will be aligned to the greatest number of days before Check-in date trigger.
If all Arrival messaging is disabled, the Wi-Fi fields will always be visible to the guests. For the Access Codes, the default state of the visibility is set to manually released from the Tasks page.
For Hotels
From the Settings page, a new section called Property Codes is added to the "Company Info" page. Set your WiFi and Access code details and control their visibility to your guests in the Guest App and other communications.
The Hotel can add the Wifi Details to this page directly. Each setting can be adjusted separately based on your preferences.
Clicking the "Edit" button on either page opens a pop-up, where you can select one of two visibility options:
- "Always": The WiFi details will be visible at all times.
- "x Number of Days before Check-In": The WiFi details will be displayed at a specific hour on or before the check-in day.
Selecting "On the day of check-in" option, will allow you to set a specific time for the codes to be displayed in the Guest App and in other Communications.
For Vacation Rentals (VRs)
A new section, "Property codes," is added in the "Company Info" screen. Here, you can control the visibility of your WiFi and access codes.
Like with hotels, VRs have the same pop-up options for WiFi settings. For Access codes, the pop-up includes three visibility options: "Always," "Manually," and "Check-in date."
You can also set specific conditions, such as only showing codes if online check-in is completed or not showing codes for same-day reservations.
Task Manager Updates
The "Quick Action" dropdown menu has been updated to include more actions such as releasing the codes to the Guest App without sending a communication and allowing and revoking mobile keys.
Clicking on the "Lock" icon will either expose or hide the access codes in the Guest App.
In the Task Manager screen, if the visibility of access codes is set to "Always," the "lock" icon won't be displayed. Clicking on the "lock" icon changes its state and the visibility of the code in the Guest App.
