How to set up Alternative Live Availability for Optima Europe Hotels

Duve has added the ability to pull alternative live availability from Optima 1 for Optima' Europe Hotels. 

2 Options:
1. Using Alternative Live Availability URL

2. Using Alternative Live Availability toggle

Using Alternative Live Availability toggle

Using this method, Optima is responsible for updating the live availability of the room inventory to Duve. Duve is only waiting for the updates sent to us from Optima. 

In Duve

1. Go to Settings > Optima Connection and enable the toggle for 'Alternative Live Availability' 

3. Complete the setup of your Room Upgrade and enable the toggle for 'Check Live Availability from Optima 1.

Using Alternative Live Availability URL

Using this method, Duve will request availability of each room category from Optima.

To turn on Alternative Live Availability in Duve for Optima's Europe Hotels, please follow these instructions:

From Silverbyte - request the Alternative API URL

In Duve

1. Go to Settings > Optima Connection

2. Set the Alternative API URL in the Connections page 

Note: Remove the end that has - availability/rooms when updating the URL in the field

3. Complete the setup of your Room Upgrade and enable the toggle for 'Check Live Availability from Optima 1.

How to Test it

To test to see if the live availability is working:
 

1. Ensure that the Room Upgrade widget is showing in the Guest App Builder
2. Create a test reservation in Optima on the lowest room category where there is some or limited availability in higher categories
3. Open the Guest App for that reservation
4. Check the Room upgrade widget
   1. If not showing, please check with Duve Support
   2. If showing but the availability is not correct, please check with Duve Support and Silverbyte
