We recently introduced the ability to automatically trigger a message after a QR code scan, so Duve's Customer Success team has created a guide with 4 tips for using this new function at your hotel. Learn how to set up scheduled messages and QR codes, and then read through Duve's tips to learn about how this can optimize your operations and elevate your guest experience.
1. Facilitate sharing the Guest App among guests
Make your Guest App easily accessible for all guests by creating a QR code that will direct reservation holders to a post with instructions on how to share the Guest App with their fellow travelers. Go to Guidebook > Add new > Post using template > 'Important Information' > 'Share Your GuestApp'. Then, select this post in the Digital Spots and create a pre scheduled message with a link to this post.

2. Give guests special discounts on upsells
Do you want to entice specific guests with attractive upsell discounts? You can place QR codes in specific areas of your hotel (i.e. the spa) that will generate a message with a discount code for guests staying at your hotel. For example, your guests have just finished a couples massage - continue to generate additional revenue by inviting them to your rooftop bar for a 15% discount.

3. Invite guests to join your loyalty program
Is your loyalty program receiving the attention it deserves? Your frontdesk staff are likely under immense pressure and don't always remember to highlight its benefits. A simple solution is to display a QR code at reception, that can be scanned by guests. This will open up a message which contains information on the loyalty program and includes a registration link, meaning they can sign up at their own convenience, rather than just upon check-in or check-out.

4. Promote weekly events to boost attendance
Struggling to promote special events at your hotel happening weekly? Place QR codes in areas of high foot traffic so that guests can stay informed on the latest offerings and reserve their spot. Doing so ensures they will never miss out on all that your hotel has to offer!
