Overview
This article will give us some best practices for creating a Parking upsell.
Scenario #1 - Parking per stay:
Upsell creation for "Parking" addition per stay.
This can be set as a general order, regardless of the number of days the reservation is. This scenario will be as a "Single product" and "Simple price".
- The "Minimum units" are not necessary to mark (could be either '0' or '1') and the maximum units should be '1'
- Optional: You can add a "Custom question" that the guest can fill in his car model, license plate number, etc.:
Scenario #2 - Parking per night:
In this case, you can set up that the Parking will cost per the number of nights of the reservation.
This scenario will be as a "Single product" and the "Price type" will be set to "Calculated per night":
- The "Minimum units" are not necessary to mark (could be either '0' or '1').
- Optional: You can add a "Custom question" that the guest can fill in his car model, license plate number, etc.:
Scenario #3 - Free Parking:
In this case, you can set the Upsell to be "Free". Make sure that the "Product type" is set to "Free":

- Optional: You can add a "Custom question" that the guest can fill in his car model, license plate number, etc.:
Scenario #4 - Parking price as a % from the reservation:
In this case, you can set the Upsell to be charged as a % of the "Accommodation" of the reservation.
- For example, if your reservation's payment accommodation is 100$, and the chosen % is 10%, the payment for the parking will be 10$.
- In case of not processing the accommodation price in the reservation, the upsell/service won't be presented in the guest's Guest App.
- The "Minimum units" are not necessary to mark (could be either '0' or '1') and the maximum units should be '1'
- Optional: You can add a "Custom question" that the guest can fill in his car model, license plate number, etc.:
Scenario #5 - Parking in condition to length of stay:
In this case, you can set the upsell with a condition that only X number of nights (or minimum of nights) and only reservations that are under that condition, will see the Parking purchase option:
- The payment can be set to be as one of the scenarios above.
- You can add a "Custom question" that the guest can fill in his car model, license plate number, etc.:
Scenario #6 - Parking per unit/tag:
In this case, you can suggest the parking option, only for a specific unit/s and by tag/s:
In this case, you can make sure that only specific reservations will have this upsell.
- In this scenario, you can set the payment to be as one of the scenarios above.
FAQ's:
Q: I want to ask my guests if they need a parking space, how can I do it?
A: You can create a Custom question, that will appear in the "Pre-check-in" process
Q: I want to offer the Upsell to guests, only if they update that they are coming with pets, how can I do it?
A: When creating an Upsell, you can add a condition for the appearance of the Upsell, based on the guests' answer to a question, in this case, if they are bringing any pets.
