The Customized Shortcuts feature allows hosts to create quick, context-sensitive buttons in the Guest App, giving guests seamless access to important services, upsells, and information.
Instead of relying on banners or deep navigation, Shortcuts provide a polished and streamlined way for guests to:
Access essential info such as Wi-Fi, room key, or access codes.
Discover upsells, posts, and external services at the right stage of their journey.
Interact with services through a premium and consistent Guest App experience.
For hosts, Shortcuts are a powerful way to:
Highlight promotions, upsells, or external services with higher visibility.
Replace clunky banners with elegant, action-driven buttons.
Control when and to whom Shortcuts appear using reservation and timing conditions.

How to Set it Up?
Access Shortcuts in the GuestApp Builder
Go to the GuestApp in your Duve account. In the Styles screen, find the new Shortcuts section (above "Advanced").
Add a New Shortcut
Click Add Shortcut
A pop-up editor will open where you can configure:
Name (mandatory) – up to 20 characters, visible to guests.
Icon (mandatory) – choose from the Duve icon library.
Action Type (mandatory) – select one:
URL – add external links (with “Open in new tab” option).
Guest Info – show info in a bottom sheet (e.g., access codes).
Post – connect an existing Post (follows its display rules).
Upsell – connect an existing Upsell (follows its display rules).
Conditions – control when/for whom the Shortcut is visible.
Manage Duve Shortcuts
Inside the Shortcuts section, click Manage Duve Shortcuts.
A list of built-in Duve Shortcuts appears (Room Key, WiFi, Access Codes, etc.).
By default, all are selected.
Unselect any to hide them from the Guest App.
Arrange Shortcuts
Drag Shortcuts to change their order.
Only custom Shortcuts appear in the GuestApp builder preview.
In the live Guest App, guests will see both custom and Duve Shortcuts according to conditions.
Edit or Delete Shortcuts
Click the 3-dot menu on any Shortcut to:
Edit – open the editor pop-up to change settings.
Delete – confirm deletion in the prompt.
Hide – temporarily remove it from display without deleting.
⚠️ If an Upsell, Post, or Additional Field linked to a Shortcut is deleted or unavailable, the Shortcut will be hidden automatically, and you’ll see a message explaining why.

Q: How many Shortcuts can I create?
A: Each property can have up to 4 custom Shortcuts. If you reach the limit, the Add button will be disabled with a message explaining the cap.
Q: Can I upload my own icons?
A: No, hosts can not upload their own icons in addition to using the Duve icon library.
Q: Will Shortcuts show in the GuestApp preview?
A: Only custom Shortcuts appear in the builder preview. Built-in Duve Shortcuts (e.g., WiFi, Room Key) do not.
Q: Can I reorder all the shortcuts?
A: The default shortcuts will always show first and a user will not be able to change the order. A user will only be able to change the order of the custom shortcuts in their account.
Q: How do Shortcuts handle timing conditions?
A: By default, Shortcuts are shown on the day of check-in. You can configure them to appear before/after check-in/out using days/weeks/months.
Q: What happens if I connect a Post or Upsell to a Shortcut?
A: The Shortcut will follow the conditions of the Post/Upsell itself. You cannot override those rules in the Shortcut editor.
Q: What happens if I delete a Post, Upsell, or Additional Field tied to a Shortcut?
A: The Shortcut will automatically be hidden, and a message will notify you that it’s unavailable.
Q: How does Shortcut inheritance work across brands?
A: If the first brand in your account is created after Shortcuts already exist, it will inherit them. Later brands must set up their own Shortcuts.
