Duve is happy to announce that customers can integrate their SaltoKS online keys account to Duve.
Overview
SaltoKS online keys integration releases the mobile keys depending on your configuration of automatic key release time in your Settings.
The Mobile Key will only work on the door from the guest's Check-in to Checkout day. The Earliest time that the guest will be able to enter the room with the code will be dependent on the auto-release by reservation status setting.
Duve allows customers using SaltoKS online keys and access codes to use both at the same time. Guests will be able to use the online keys as well as the access codes for backup if relevant.
Guest Usage
Guests will not be required to download a Native App to their phones in order to use the mobile keys. When guests receive the notification that the key is ready, they will be lead to the page in the Guest App titled 'Room Key' where they will see their Room key and any common doors that are available to their reservation.
How to set it up?
Connect Salto KS to your Duve Account
First step - create a user for Duve in your Salto account. Go to People and click 'Invite' to create the new user.
Then, add the Duve email address ➝ saltoks@duve.com
Select the role as Site admin and the first 2 lock options will automatically select
Click 'Add user' to finish the user setup.
Finding your SITE ID
The Salto KS SITE ID is required to continue the setup of your account in Duve, Go to Site > Site Details and copy your SITE ID ➝
Take the SITE ID and proceed to your Duve account to finish the setup.
Connect Salto KS to your Duve Account
First step - go Settings > Connections > Keys and select Add New. Then select "Salto KS". You will have the option to choose the "Connection type" that includes 2 checkboxes:
- Mobile Key
- Access Codes
By default, for existing SaltoKS access code users, the "Access codes" checkbox will be checked
Choose the "Mobile Key" option, a new section will display - 'Mobile Key IQs'. Click Sync to request the mobile key IQs from your SaltoKS account.
The Mobile Key IQs will be sent in an email to Duve Support. Please contact the Duve Support team and they will provide the IQs.
The next step is to press the "Sync" button. This action will Send an activation command to Salto and Display a popup. In the popup window, you will need to add all IQ codes, as provided
By clicking on "Connect", all pin codes will verify and activate the associated IQs
- In case the IQ is successfully activated, it will be displayed the IQ name and a green "V" icon.
- In case the IQ is not successfully activated, it will be displayed the IQ name and a "connect" button.
In order to witness all inactive IQs, you can press on the "Sync" or on the "Connect" buttons.
Once all the IQs are connected, you can configure the Key Release Automation.
The "SaltoKS online keys" support date changes (such as arrival/departure date)
SaltoKs online keys "Guest app" functionality:
After enabling the online keys in the account Settings and giving it the "Key Release Automation" status (check-in for instance), the keys will be shown by tapping on the Room key button
Clicking on the 'Click to open' button will open the assigned door
Currently, there's a hardcoded distance limitation that allows one to open the door within 100 meters of the actual door. Trying to open the door from a longer distance will not work.
Add Access Codes Connection
In the "Connection type", you will also find a checkbox for Access Codes. SaltoKS Mobile Keys and Access Codes can be used together, or independently.
To add the Access Codes connection, simply check that box as well.
If you choose the "Access Codes" option, you will be presented with those options:

- Sync the access codes
- Display the "Access Codes Release Automation" section
Notes:
- In case of enabling both the access codes and the online keys altogether, they both will work independently, without any conflict with each other
- Once released, the online keys will be available from the check-in time to the check-out time, according to the reservation.
