Duve is integrated directly with Dormakaba to offer a mobile keys solution.
Guest Usage
Guests will be required to download a Native App to their phones in order to use the mobile keys. When guests receive the notification that the key is ready, they will be lead to the page in the Guest App titled 'Room Key' where they will see their Room key and any common doors that are available to their reservation.
Before you start, please confirm the following:
- the Dormakaba Ammbience version
- Go to the Services Manager and ensure that the REST API is in the State RUNNING.
Setup
1. On your Ammbience server, please create an admin user
Permissions for this user must be entered as PMS User Credentials
- Credentials Example:
- UserID: servismart
- Password (Example): service.duve1234
Go to Staff Management > select the Servismart user and enter the username and password credentials
2. Go to your Ammbience server and ensure that all doors have the checkbox mobile keys enabled like so:
3. White-list the following Duve servers IP (54.217.85.205, 52.215.239.213, 77.137.44.14) to be allowed access to the Ammbience server.
Last Step:
If you are using Ammbience server Version 2.9 or above, create a port forwarding rule in your router / firewall configuration to direct traffic to port 1620 > 80
If you are using Ammbience server Version 2.8 or below, create a port forwarding rule in your router / firewall configuration to direct traffic to port 1619 > 1619
If the Ammbience server has an "HTTPS://" certificate, create a port forwarding rule in your router / firewall configuration to direct traffic to port 443 > 443
Note: Traffic should be allowed from the three Duve server IPs listed above.
Complete the Connection
- Add the credentials you have created to your Duve account under the Advanced > Key Provider Settings
- If the port forwarding was made to 1619 or 1620, The Ammbience Server DNS needs to be added in the format "http://{{IP Addressxx.xxxx.xxx}}:xxxx"
- If the Ammbience server has an "HTTPS://" certificate, The Ammbience Server DNS needs to be added in the format of the Ammbience server URL
TO SET UP THE KEYS
Room Setup:
After creating all the Rooms, go to the Rooms/ Rentals page in your Duve account and go into each Room/ Rental and assign each key to the corresponding Room under Key Provider.

Press Save. When the key is confirmed, the field will be blue.
Done! Your guests will now be able to access their room key from their Guest App!
General:
- Optima 1 customers using Dormakaba need to ensure that their Optima 1 integration is updated to support Duve's mobile keys integration. If this is not updated, the keys will not open the doors of the hotel.
- When testing the keys, please only use reservations which originate in your PMS as your PMS is likely connected to your Ammbience server.
- Default time frame for the key to work is from Earliest Check-in time to Latest Checkout time (including Early Check-in if relevant).
- The ETA that the guest reported is the first time that the guest will be allowed to enter the room. If the guest needs to enter earlier, the host must "allow" the key when the guest arrives.
