Scheduled Messages Trigger | Additional fields

This feature enables real-time status updates by adding new triggers to scheduled messages, which can reflect the guest movements in the PMS. For example, When a guest opens their door for the first time, there can be a signal that changes the reservation's additional field status to "Opened Door," which can then be used to trigger specific automated actions/messages.
 
Duve now integrating Elea Open key locks with your PMS, aiming to trigger a status change in the PMS when a guest first opens their door.
 
  1. In the scheduled messages section, hosts can now add triggers based on these additional fields.
  2. These triggers are populated in the list once they have at least one valid value, offering options like "At door status changes to opened".
  3. Elea's system uses Duve connect to update the reservation's additional field custom value.

Example: When a customer using Duve Connect is populating additional fields, you can trigger Scheduled Messages based on the change to the field. 

 

 

Scheduling and Automation Configuration

 

Go to Scheduled Messages and create a new Message.

  • Define the exact timing for the status change messages using a combination of additional fields and time indications (minutes/hours).
  • Set up the system to notify the PMS once a status change occurs and the automated message is sent out.

 

 
 

Note: 

  • Additional field names in the dropdown list will have parentheses to distinguish them from existing filters, like 'Door status (Additional field)'.
  • In case of deletion or disabling of related additional fields, these will no longer be listed in the trigger options.

 

Tricks & Tips

  • Test the trigger settings with a test reservation to ensure the system responds as expected.
  • Make sure that the scheduled messages and PMS status updates do not overlap or conflict with any existing automation rules.
  • Additional field names in the dropdown list will have parentheses to distinguish them from existing filters, like 'Door status (Additional field)'.
  • In case of deletion or disabling of related additional fields, these will no longer be listed in the trigger options.
