Additional fields is a new feature from Duve, which allows our customers to create additional fields on the Reservation and Rental/Room Type level. As part of improving the new guest app, Duve reduces the number of posts hosts need to create. The new capability will be under the Rental/Room level Additional Fields. Each additional field will be created as a dynamic parameter where content (image/text) can be displayed in the Guest App.
This new feature extends its support to various screens of the dynamic parameter library, including:
- Guest App Posts (text and images)
- Email Editor in Pre Check-in and Scheduled Messages (text only)
- Confirmation Email (text only)
- Communication Hub (text only)
Duve Connect: For PMS's integrated to Duve by Duve API, they can use these additional fields to push extra reservation data into Duve, such as Rate Plan, License Plate Number, Parking Spot assignment and more.
For customers who want to connect 3rd party suppliers to Duve using the Private App, the third party supplier will push their content into the additional field per reservation.
How to set it up?
Create Additional Text Fields on the Rental/Room Type or Reservation level
Go to Settings > Connections > Additional Fields. Click Add New to start!
Create a new additional field with a unique name - this will be the display name for the Duve Frontdesk users to identify and use the dynamic parameters. When creating an additional field from the Main Settings, you will only be able to create text fields. Additional fields for images can only be created from the Rental/Room Type page.
Duve Connect: The API field name displayed will be used by the Duve API connected PMS or a 3rd party supplier in their code to push the data to the correct field.
- When a brand is assigned, the third party will be able to push data into all reservations in that brand ONLY
- If no brand is assigned, the third party will be able to push data into ALL reservations in your account
Once the field is created it can not be changed! However, you are able to delete and create as many additional fields as you would like.
Create Additional Fields for Images
On the Rental/Room Type, create additional fields for images or text. Click 'Create New and then select the Brand Assignment and Type.
If these are created on the Rental/Room Type level, it will apply for all room types/rentals in the account.
Once the additional fields are created, you can add the text/upload the images on each rental/room type.
Important Note:
- Additional fields for images can not be created on the Reservation level.

Adding Additional Fields in the Guest Journey
Text
Additional Fields text are available in the Guest App (text block only), Canned Responses, email editor, and more.
To add an Additional Field text, click on the Dynamic Parameters library, select additional fields, and select from the available list.
In the Guest App, to add an Additional Field text, please add a "text block" first and then in the text go to the Dynamic Parameters Library.

Only text Additional Fields are supported in text boxes, so Additional Field images will not be available in the library for selection.
Image
Additional Fields Images are available in the Guest App.
To add an Image Additional Field in the Guest App, add a new Image block and then click 'Add Custom Field'.
Only Image Additonal fields will be available to select from, text additional fields are not supported in an image block and will not be visible.
Important Note: The Additional Field must be enabled in settings in order to see it as an option to add from the dynamic parameter.
