A custom phone number is a branded number used for messaging guests from Duve. The custom phone number can be set up for SMS, WhatsApp or both. The number is selected based on your company's location and all of your guests will receive the messages from your unique phone number. A custom phone number can also be purchased per brand/hotel in your account.
SMS Information and Setup
The following information is required to start the process:
- Phone Number Country
- Area code of the phone number - relevant only for the United States and Canada (3 digits)
- If US phone number -
- Legal Business name
- EIN / Tax ID Number
- Business Address
- Main Contact Name and Contact Information
- If US phone number -
SMS messages sent from your custom phone number will be with your desired country code and area.

WhatsApp Information and Setup
The following information is required to start the process:
- Area code of the phone number - relevant only for the United States and Canada (3 digits)
- Facebook Business Manager Number
- Screenshot of Facebook Business Manager ID from Facebook
- A verified Facebook Business Manager page - please send a screenshot of the verification
- If your Facebook Business Manager Page is not verified, please see Verifying your Facebook Business Manager account

The WhatsApp number can also have additional branding such as:

- Email (optional)
- Business description (up to 256 characters) (optional)
WhatsApp messages will send from the same custom phone number as the SMS.

WhatsApp Templates
A WhatsApp template is a pre-written message that is used to send your guests automated WhatsApp messages. The templates are needed in order to initiate the conversation and allow your guest to Opt-in to your WhatsApp messages.

Pricing
The custom phone number is a paid feature for $55/50 eur per month per line (or pricing per your contract).
How to get started?
To begin the Custom Phone Number process, please fill out this form with the required information and contact your CSM or Duve Support to purchase the phone number.
Once the process is completed and the phone number has been added to your account the fee will be added to your billing.
FAQ:
Can I use the WhatsApp business number I currently have?
Unfortunately, we are not able to use your existing number, we need to purchase a new number that is set up through our provider.
How long with the setup take until my custom phone number is ready?
The process can vary from a few days to weeks depending on various factors. SMS is a shorter process, while WhatsApp requires more verification steps. Some countries require extra documents and steps.
Can I send and receive messages?
With a custom phone number, you can send and receive messages from guests. All of the messages will be in the unified Communication Hub in your Duve Frontdesk.
Can I receive calls or video calls through the custom phone number?
We do not support phone calls or video calls through Duve.
