Duve is excited to announce the new feature of a unified communication hub with Airbnb and for Hostaway users.
Overview
Duve will now integrate into Hostaway's communication hub, which is a preferred integration partner of Airbnb. With this comes access to the Airbnb inbox through Hostaway.
Messages from Duve will now sync into Hostaway and messages from Hostaway will sync into Duve.
Duve will also use unique guest matching to streamline your communication with Airbnb guests by directly reaching them in their Airbnb inbox. It works by matching the booker's Airbnb reservation ID, and sending the message from Duve through Hostaway to Airbnb. Any message sent by the guest, from Airbnb, will also be visible in the Duve Communication Hub.
Important Messaging timing Sync: New messages that are synced from Airbnb will be synced at the same interval as the Reservation sync - about every 10 minutes. There is no capability at the moment to manually sync messages from Hostaway to Duve. Messages which are sent from Duve back to Airbnb will sync to Airbnb immediately.
How to set it up?
To enable this feature, go to the Connections page.
In the Hostaway source, a new option will be available “OTA 2-way communications”.
Toggle this on, and the Airbnb communications will be synced to Duve starting from that moment, for any new communications.
Communication Hub
Within the Duve Communication Hub, once enabled, there will be an Airbnb icon on conversations related to Airbnb bookings respectively.
Incoming Messages: All messages sent by the guest from Airbnb will show in the chat in the communication hub, and will be indicated by the Airbnb icon.
Outgoing Messages: Select the Airbnb option from the list of communication channels to send a message to the guest's Airbnb chat. Any message sent from Duve’s communication hub through the Airbnb channel will be rerouted to the Airbnb chat via Hostaway.
Important Note:
- This feature is only available in the communication hub for manually sent messages. Scheduled messages nor any automated communication will be available to send directly to Airbnb.
- Images are not supported for pulling from PMS/OTA and cannot be pushed back to PMS/OTA

Hello, I don't understand why messages sent to a guest on Whatsapp from the Duve application are also automatically sent to Airbnb when the synchronization option is activated. Could you explain the reason for this?
