The new "Reservation Room-Assign Updated" trigger aims to enhance automation by notifying third-party tools via webhooks about changes in room assignments.
 

Overview

The "Reservation Room-Assign Updated" trigger allows users to automatically send a webhook with various data points to integrated third-party tools whenever a room assignment is updated.
This ensures that all connected systems are kept in sync with real-time room assignment changes.
 

How to Set It Up

  1. Access Settings:
    • Navigate to Settings > Connections > DuveConnect > Outgoing.
  2. Configure the Trigger:
    • Locate the "Reservation room assigned" option and enable it.
    • The trigger will activate upon any room assignment changes (note: this triggers only when a room assignment changes, not when a reservation is initially created).
  3. Webhook Configuration:
    • Set up the webhook URL where the data will be sent.
  4. Data Points Configuration:
    • The trigger includes the following data points:
      • Reservation ID
      • External ID (PMS ID)
      • Check-in date
      • Check-out date
      • Room number
      • Pre Check-in Link
      • sId - Guest App link sId
      • PreCheckout Link
      • Guest Area Link
      • Current Reservation Status
      • Source - guest Booking source
      • Company Name
      • Company ID - Duve Company ID

 

Use Cases

Case 1: Hotel Chain with Multiple Properties A hotel chain uses the "Reservation Room-Assign Updated" trigger to synchronize room assignment changes across multiple properties. When a room assignment is updated in Duve, the trigger sends a webhook to the central management system, ensuring all property management systems are up-to-date.
 
Case 2: Vacation Rental Integration A vacation rental company integrates the trigger with its smart lock system. When a room assignment changes, the trigger sends a webhook to the key companies, automatically updating the access codes for the new room assignment, enhancing security and guest convenience.
