Connecting WhatsApp to your Duve Branded Phone Number

Requirements:

1. a Verified Meta Business manager
2. A phone number which can be contacted via SMS or Phone call

Go to your Duve Account > Settings > Communication and click 'Connect to Meta'

Clicking the button will open a dropdown with the number you wish to connect to your Duve account for WhatsApp:

Via the next pop up, confirm your personal phone number (Duve will only use it to send the 2FA code by SMS)

Note: Please ensure to add '+' and your country code to the phone number to be able to move forward.

Clicking 'Next' will open a Meta pop up on your browser. If you do not see the pop up, please check that pop up blockers are disabled.

You may be prompted to log into your Meta Business account via this pop up.

Step 1: Click 'Continue' to move forward.

Step 2: Confirm that Duve & Zendesk (our messaging provider) may have access to your Meta Business account

Step 3: Select the Business Portfolio that you would like to use. & 

Select 'Create a new WhatsApp account' to have a WhatsApp account specifically for Duve.

Step 4: Update the name of the WhatsApp account (note: this is not visible to guests!)
Best Practice: Name the WhatsApp account: 'Hotel Chain Name Duve' for easy identification.

Step 5: 

Option 1: Use Display Name Only: Meta will provision a generic number (+1 555 xxx xxxx) where only the display name will show as the sender name

Option 2: Add a New Number: Enter the number that you would like to use for WhatsApp in Duve 

Option 1: Add the WhatsApp sender name in the field that you would like your guests to see and then click 'Next'

Option 2: Add phone number & the WhatsApp sender name in the field that you would like your guests to see.

Complete the verification of the phone number either by Text Message or Phone call.

Step 6: Complete the request for access.

Step 7: The page will load (do not close the pop up before its finished loading). Then click 'Finish'.

You're Done!

Updating the Branding of the WhatsApp sender

In the Meta Business manager, Go to Settings > Accounts > WhatsApp accounts > click on the WhatsApp account > Select WhatsApp manager. Go to Profile and click 'Edit'. This is where you can change and edit branding information of the WhatsApp sender directly.

Update the following branding elements from this page:

1. Logo
2. Description
3. Address
4. Website
5. Link your Facebook page
6. Link your Instagram

Appealing Rejected Display Names or Fixing the Display Name

If the display name has been rejected or added incorrectly, click on the 'Edit' button to enter 

Add the desired display name in the field and click 'Submit'

If the display name was rejected but you would like to appeal the rejection, update the fields with proof that the display name entered is aligned to the hotel or chain name listed on the website of the Business Info section of the Meta Business Manager. Update as much information as possible to prove the submitted display name is correct.
