Sync Upsells back to OHIP and Thais as 'Packages' – Duve

Duve has a new feature to push upsells into "Ohip" & "Thais" as packages.

The host will be able decide, per upsell, if to sync it to PMS as "package" or "fixed"

This exciting new capability enables hotels and other accommodation providers to push upsells into Ohip and Thais as packages, thereby enhancing their operations and accounting reports.

The upsells that can be synchronized with Ohip PMS include

Late Check Out
Early Check In
Room Upgrade
Custom product Upsell

Important note: Paid check-in options are not supported.

With this new feature, you can decide which upsell to sync to the PMS as a "package" or as a 'fixed Charge'.

- By default - The upsell will be synced as "Fixed Charge"
  - Billing Identifier - must be the transaction code
- When it is 'On' - The upsell will be synced as "Package"
  - Package Code should be set in the Billing Identifier set in the Upsell

How to Set it Up

To enable this functionality, a new toggle has been added in the "Advanced" section of the Ohip and Thais interfaces.

Turn on 'Sync as package' to enable. Save the upsell so it will start syncing as a Package back to the PMS.

Starting now, instead of a charge that appears as a line in the folio, the upsell will be pushed as a package to your folio in the PMS.

Depending on the "Price Type" setup in Duve, the folio sync will vary in the PMS ➝

If it is set Per Night:

- Will be posted for every night in the reservation (Duve price will be pushed).

- If the guest will buy an existing package, it will be added to the existing quantity

If it is set calculated Per guest Per Night:

- Will be posted for every night in the reservation.

- Price will not be pushed (pms will use pms package price) with a selected quantity

- If a guest will buy an existing package it will be added to the quantity

If it is set 'Calculated by guests':

- Price will not be pushed (pms will use pms package price) with a selected quantity

- Cannot push this type of package twice

If it is set 'Fixed Price', 'By Bed Types', 'Per Sq M', 'Per Bathroom', 'Percentage Of Accommodation':

- The upsell will be posted on the deliver date

- price will be calculated in duve and pushed as a fixed price and quantity 1

- if the guest will buy an existing package on the same day the price will be calculated and posted

Note:

Please ensure that the upsell in Duve is set to a simple product price type.
If the Price Type is "Calculated per guest" or "Calculated per guest per night" Duve will not be able to support the sync of the upsell back to the PMS, if the guest has purchased the upsell a second time.
In addition, when the price type is "Calculated per guest per night" the price must match the one you set in your PMS as they must match in order for the sync to show the accurate price.
