Set up TestMode on the AI Agent
Go to Settings > DuveAI > Agents. Under SmartReply > Switch the mode to ‘Test mode’. Please note that the DuveAI setup must be done per brand.
Testing by WhatsApp

- Add your personal phone number to your test reservation.
- Open the Chat
- Send yourself a message to initiate the conversation
- Then, assign the AI team member to your conversation
- Start messaging! AI Agent will answer and provide the Sources

Ready to Start?
When you are ready for SmartReply to start answering guests automatically, change the Setting from 'Test Mode' to 'Suggestion Mode' or 'Auto Answer Mode'

Test & Optimize
As of January 18, 2026, the ‘Test & Optimize’ feature will be discontinued and will no longer be available.

Tip: Use your canned responses or the FAQ template post for the Guest App for inspiration.
Quality Ratings
Duve will rate the quality of the answers that the DuveAI generates. Duve recommends that the Quality of each answer should be High.
Tips to Optimize
- For each answer that the AI generates, it will provide the sources of the answer. by clicking on the right hand icon as displayed above. In order to improve answer quality, adjust your Guest App posts to provide the most relevant information.
Important: After finishing to test the AI, please make sure to switch it back to 'Auto Answer Mode' so the AI will start responding to guests.
