Salto ProAccess Mobile Keys | How to Connect - With Duve Agent

Guests will be required to download a Native App to their phones in order to use the mobile keys. When guests receive the notification that the key is ready, they will be lead to the page in the Guest App titled 'Room Key' where they will see their Room key and any common doors that are available to their reservation.

 

Setup on Salto SHIP Server

  1. To connect to Duve, find your username and password or API Key on your Pro Access under Ship Protocol Credentials. Go to System>General Options>SHIP
  1. The Salto Ship Server must be enabled
  2. Transport Protocol needs to be HTTPS
  3. If Authentication is Basic, then there is a username and password
  4. If Authentication is Custom, you can use the API Key option
 

Setting up Duve Agent:

  • After you receive the Agent (from Duve support team), open the file on the computer with the Keys Server and you will see 4 items.
  • Click the last file named ‘install.bat’ in order to download the Duve agent
  • Then a pop-up will open depending if you’re an Admin on the current computer
  • Click yes to install the agent
  • Then a black window with the summary will be opened
  • If the operation is completed successfully, you will see the Success message. Once you see the Success message, you can close it and you’re done!
 
In case, you do not see 'operation completed successfully' please reach out to Duve Support with a screenshot of the window that you see.
 

Complete the Connection

Go to Settings > Advanced > Key Providers and add "Salto ProAccess" as a new Key Provider

    1. Enter the Username and Password (as created for the system manager operator)
    2. Enter https://localhost:8100 for the Server’s IP/DNS
    3. Select the Duve Agent for the Remote Node ID

 

When the connection has been successful, you will see Salto added under Key Providers:Screenshot 2023-08-01 at 10.13.20 AM.png

 

SET UP THE KEYS

  1. Go to the Rooms/ Rentals page in your Duve account and go into each Room/ Rental and add Salto and then assign each key to the corresponding Room under Key Provider.
  1. Save.
  2. When the key is confirmed, the field will be green.

Done! Your guests will now be able to access their room key from their Guest App!

 

Limitations of the integration

  • Duve does not take any access timeframes for doors in Salto, such as pool, spa or executive lounge.
