FAQs:
Q: How long is the expiration of the iFrame?
A: The iFrame will be ready to use for 10 minutes from opening. After 10 minutes, the iframe will expire and any credit card number that is entered will error. To regenerate the iframe, the guest may close the iframe and click "Pay" to regenerate it.
Q: Can guests reuse their card without entering the details again?
A: Yes. After the first payment, Duve saves a secure token and masked card details. If more charges are needed and they fall within the authorized hold, no additional action is required from the guest.
Q: What happens if extra charges exceed the authorized hold?
A: Duve will automatically trigger a new Credit Guard payment window so the guest can approve the additional amount.
Q: Can I manage refunds directly from Duve?
A: Yes. You can issue full or partial refunds from the reservation page. Each refund action is logged with the user and timestamp.
Q: Will transactions appear in both Duve and the Credit Guard dashboard?
A: Yes. All transactions processed through the integration will show in both systems.
Q: Is this integration compatible with Optima PMS?
A: Yes, the Credit Guard integration works seamlessly with Duve’s Optima connection.
Q: Do I need separate terminals for each hotel or brand?
A: If your account uses multiple terminals, Duve supports configuring terminals per brand, so every property can use the correct setup.
