Overview
A guest makes a reservation at a property, and an access code is generated in Elina.
The access code is automatically synced from Elina to Duve, ensuring the guest receives the correct access code through Duve's communication channels without any manual intervention by the host. If needed, each time the code is updated in Elina's side, it will sync to Duve.
This synchronization leverages a custom field in Elina labeled “Checkin Code,” which will appear in Duve as the "Door Code."
How to Set It Up
Create Custom Field in Elina PMS: Hosts need to create a custom field in Elina PMS labeled “Checkin Code.” Detailed instructions for setting this up are available in the Elina support documentation here.
The custom field should be created as a Value option = String, Entity Type = Reservation.
Automatic Sync to Duve: Once the custom field is set up in Elina, the access code will automatically sync to the corresponding reservation page in Duve. No additional configuration is needed in Duve.
Display in Reservation Page: The synced access code will appear on Duve's reservation page as the “Door Code,” ensuring guests have the correct information for their stay.
Dynamic Parameter: The code will show when using the {{primaryAccessCode}} dynamic parameter.
