Overview
Duve has introduced a new condition, "Guest Scans QR," to enhance the Scheduled Messages feature. This update allows hosts to trigger automated messages when a guest scans a QR code associated with a specific digital spot, ensuring more precise and timely communication. This feature is particularly useful for workflows like contactless mobile check-in, where accurate and automated messaging is critical.
Hosts can now select multiple options in the schedule message trigger → Guest scan QR
In the trigger itself, multiple QR codes can be selected, in the condition, that hosts can not add "Guest scan QR" as a condition to the scheduled messages.

How to Set It Up
- Access Scheduled Messages:
- Navigate to the Scheduled Messages module in Duve.
- Click Create New Message.
- Set the Trigger:
- Select any trigger from the dropdown
- Select "Guest Scans QR" from the conditions dropdown.
- Define the Message:
- Configure the message content and select the preferred communication channel (Email, SMS, WhatsApp, or Duve Communication Hub).

- Save and Activate:
- Save the message and activate the trigger for it to go live.

Use Cases
- Contactless Mobile Check-In:
- Trigger a welcome message when guests scan a QR code associated with the check-in workflow.

- Event-Specific Messaging:
- Send targeted messages to guests attending specific events or areas within the property by associating the message with the digital spot’s QR code.
