The Duve Online Check-out is a wizard designed to enhance the guest experience by allowing them to complete the check-out process digitally.
This is a legacy feature. Duve's team recommends that if a host wants to create a message for sending the Pre Check-out, the setup should not be in the Check-out Basic Settings but rather in Scheduled Messages. The Scheduled Messages feature has more customization configuration for segmenting and targeting guest messages. Settings for the Check-out wizard should be continued to be found in Settings > Check-out.
Overview
The Online Checkout wizard contains the following steps:
- Guest will be able to fill in their Estimated Departure Time page (with Late Check-out offering if available)
- Check-out Payment (if enabled and there is an amount due on their folio)
- View Check-out Instructions and give a Property Comment
- Ratings and Reviews
After a guest completes the Pre Check-out wizard, they will be forwarded back to their Guest App. The Guest App is available to guests to view until 1 day post Check-out. If the guest tries to visit the Pre Check-out link or Guest App after 1 day post Check-out, they will be redirected back to the Public Guest App.
How to Set this Up?
Go to Settings > Check-Out > Basic and start setting up all your preferences
Check-out Email
Set up the email inviting them to do their Online Check-out at the time that you have chosen.

If individual rentals have different Check-out times, you can set an override under a different brand or for different rentals (available only for Vacation Rentals).
Check-out Time Frames
Within your Pre Check-out, allow your guests to update you on what time they are planning to depart.
Settings Options:
- Select that the same time frame should show every day of the week
- Select different hours for different days of the week
To setup different hours for different days of the week, select the option of different hours per day. On each line, select the total time frame you would like the guest to choose from. The latest hour should be your Check-out time.

Make it Mandatory
You can select that this step will be mandatory in the Online Check-in by selecting Time Selection Required

Booking Sources & Status’s
Depending on their booking source, you can customize this feature to only send emails for some of your guests.
To set this up, click on the “Booking sources & Status’s” text. In the pop-up, you can choose which booking sources will receive the automated message to complete the Online Check-Out wizard, and which won’t. You can easily select booking sources to exclude completely, no matter what the reservation status is.

Here select which booking source you do want to exclude for this feature

- At any time, you can click on the
button that is located in the top right corner of the screen to see the email that is sent
After setting everything up, go to Settings > Check-Out > Basic > Click on the toggle button next to "Enable pre check-out reminder emails".

To configure the steps in the Check-out, go to the Chec-kout Settings menu and continue down the list until all is set up the way you wish.
If you want to also offer late Check-out with additional costs, you can do this through Duve's Smart Late Check-Out or Upsells).
Extra Brands: This capability is also available to be set by brand.
After completing the set up of the Check-out wizard and email, begin the set up of the Check-out Instructions.
The Guest Experience
The guest will recieve a Pre Check-out email reminder to invite them to begin their Online Check-out. When clicking on the link, guests will be directed to the Pre Check-out wizard.
In the first step of the checkout wizard, the guest will be asked to choose his Check-out time.
The latest time the guest can choose as their Check-out hour is the “Latest check out hour”.
