Motion! Craft Engaging Video Experiences for Your Guests

We're excited to announce that the open beta of Motion is now available! Introducing Motion, a new way to boost engagement with personalized videos.

 

Motion uses dynamic parameters to create personalized videos, and incorporates call-to-actions that are relevant to a specific stage in the guest journey. While allowing you to visually promote your brand, Motion will also significantly enhance guest engagement.

 

For the initial release, we offer a pre-arrival video template to encourage guests to perform online check-ins. Over the next few months, we'll be rolling out more templates, catering to various stages of the guest journey, as well as more customization capabilities when creating the videos themselves.

 
This access is planned to continue until September 30, 2023, and usage of Motion during this time will be free to use. After this date, Motion will be available as an add-on feature at an additional cost.
 
Available for Duve Customers using the Pro / Premium plans
 
What is "Motion"?
Motion is designed to enrich guest communication, present a video for your guests, bringing together your brand assets and preferred settings to create a personalized and impactful video message. This video message will also include Duve links for the Guest App and Pre Check-in.

How Does it Work?
The creation process for Motion is designed to be self-serve, making it user-friendly and efficient. Motion will include the host's brand assets, including the logo, brand colors, and host-uploaded images. These assets are then automatically implemented into the video template.
 
In the Motion settings section, hosts can fine-tune the video's appearance by answering four main questions, each offering various choices that impact the overall look and feel of the video:
  1. Visual Style: Choose a visual style that aligns with your brand's identity, ensuring an appealing presentation.
  2. Background Music: Select a soundtrack that sets the right mood for your video, enhancing its impact on your guests.
 
 
 
 
 
 

How to set it Up?

Go to the Motion Settings

 
 
 
  1. Choose your Motion's Visual Style: Modern or Classic
  2. Choose your Background Music from our Gallery
      • Uplifting Classic
      • Bossa Melody Snapshot
      • Vivacious Rock Pop
      • Groovy Soul Vibe
      • Bohemian Strings Jazz
      • Tropical Reggaeton Pulse
  3. Featured Gallery Section: This section allows hosts to set the context of their video by selecting from various preset scenes related to their property. 
      • Sea
      • Forest
      • Mountain
      • Restaurant
      • Wellness center
      • Kids Club
      • City Center
      • Business Center
  4. Image Upload: For a unique video experience, hosts can add up to three of their own photos to be embedded within the video. The images will appear at the end of the video.

Video Preview options: As hosts make selections and changes, the video preview will update in real time, providing a glimpse of the final video before sending it to guests.

 

Where Will You Find Motion?

  • Add it to your emails via the Email Editor
  • Send the video via Dynamic parameters
  • Add the dynamic parameter in the Guest-App
 
The Motion feature will be seamlessly integrated into various parts of Duve's platform
  • Email Editor - Hosts can add the "Motion" option to the main drop-down menu in the image block. In case the host uses the motion image type Duve will display the video as a GIF.

  • Guest-App
When guests receive the video link via any channel such as Chat, WhatsApp, or email, clicking on it will lead them to the guest app's video player page. From there, guests can experience the Motion video.
 

The Guest Experience

At the end of the video, the guests will see a Check-in and Connect with us buttons.
 
Clicking on the 'Check In' button will navigate the guest to the online check-in wizard.
 
Clicking on the 'Connect with us' button will close the video and open the chat button for direct communication.
 
If a guest clicks on the 'X' icon, the video will close, returning them to the guest app.
