Auto Translate allows our host to automatically translate all manual messages to guests and from the account users according to their native language.
From Guest to User - If the Auto Translate is turned on, guest messages in their language will be translated to the preferred language of the Duve user.
From User to Guest to help you better communicate with your guests. If a guest responds to a message from Duve in a language in their preferred language, the message will be translated into the Duve user's preferred language.
Guests will have 2 types of languages connected to their profile in Duve:
- Preferred language - Language identified either from nationality or the country code of the phone number in their reservation
- Chat language - Language identified as the language the guest has written messages to the host in
Auto Translations are available for manual messages sent via the following communication channels:
- Chat
- SMS
How to Set it Up?
Turning on the Auto Translate on the account level will allow all users in the account to turn on the Auto translate for manual messages sent to guests.
- If a specific user wants to disable the auto translate, this can be done per conversation by clicking the auto translate button. When the button is Red, the host messages to guests will not be auto translated.
Communication Hub
In the Communication Hub, the translate icon will allow your users to control the auto translate of manually sent messages.
When a message is sent to a guest whose preferred language is different than the host's, the host will see a translate button on the message to see the exact text that the guest sent.
Click Translate to see the text sent, translated into the guest's preferred language.
When a guest sends a message back to the host, the host will see a translation of the guest's message. Click 'See Original' to see the exact text which the guest sent to the host.
When sending a message to a Guest
If the guest is communicating in a language which is different from their preferred language, the auto translate to the guest will translate the text to the guest's Chat language.
The tooltip on the Auto translate button will show the guest's Chat language.
When the icon is Green, the message to the guest will be translated to the guest's preferred language.
When the icon is Red, the message to the guest will be sent with the exact text which was typed by the user.
