Overview
This article will give us some best practices for creating a Pet Fee upsell.
Scenario #1 - Classic Setup:
Upsell created for "Pet Fee" addition for the Reservation.
This can be set as a general order, regardless of the number of pets. This scenario will be as a "Single product" and "Simple price".
- If the number and type of pet/s are important for general knowledge, you can add "Custom questions" (see image 2).
- The "Minimum units" are not necessary to mark (could be either '0' or '1') and the maximum units should be '1' - since in this case, the number of pets and/or nights are not relevant:
If you would like to ask additional free text questions while the guest purchases the service, you can add Custom Questions such as:
Scenario #2 - Cost Per Pet for the entire Stay:
In this case, you can set up that each pet will cost extra. The total cost will be per X number of pets, per stay.
This scenario will be as a "Single product" and "Simple price". The "Minimum units" are not necessary to mark (could be either '0' or '1') and the maximum number of pets allowed can be set based the highest number allowed in your rentals:

Scenario #3 - Pet Cost Per Day:

Scenario #4 - Price Per Pet:
In this case, you can set that each pet will cost a different amount, meaning, the first pet will cost X, and for the second pet the cost will be X+5 (as an example).
This scenario will be as a "Multiple product" and each item will be set with a different price and/or setup:
- Each pet can be set as "Simple price" - 1 pet-per stay - The "Minimum units" is not necessary to mark (could be either '0' or '1') and the maximum should be '1' - since this refers to 1 pet-per stay:You can also calculate this scenario as "Per night" - In this option, you will add Maximum units according to your setup, so the guests will be able to add each pet for X number of nights:
Scenario #5 - Price Per Pet - First is free - :
