Using a Tablet at Your Hotel with Duve: 4 Methods for Check-in
Duve offers four flexible methods to utilize tablets for guest check-in at your hotel. Whether you prefer a fully self-service approach, a guided experience, or a combination of both, these options can enhance your guests' arrival experience.
Option 1: Check-in Portal
Enable the Check-in Portal to allow guests to complete their Online Check-in independently. This method is ideal for a self-service experience. Set up the portal on a tablet at the reception desk, and guests can sign in, provide necessary information, and complete their check-in without staff assistance. For setup instructions, refer to the Check-in Portal Setup Guide.
Option 2: Reception-Assisted Online Check-in via Tablet
If you prefer reception staff to assist guests through specific steps of the Online Check-in, utilize the Expanded Quick Actions Menu on the Tasks page. Staff can open the Tasks page on a tablet, guide guests through each step, and then hand the tablet to the guest to complete the remaining steps. This method combines staff assistance with guest autonomy. For more details, see the Expanded Quick Actions Menu in the Tasks Page.
Option 3: Staff-Assisted Check-in
The Staff-Assisted Check-in feature allows reception staff to send different steps of the Online Check-in process from the reception computer to a tablet for the guest to complete. This method ensures that guests are guided through the check-in process with staff oversight. Please note that this is a paid feature and requires a contract update to use. For more information, refer to the Staff-Assisted Check-in article.
Option 4: Digital Registration Process
The Digital Registration Process enables guests to complete Pre Check-in and E-Signature requirements directly from a tablet at the reception desk. This method streamlines the check-in process by allowing guests to provide essential information and digitally sign necessary documents.
For detailed setup instructions, refer to the Digital Registration Process - How to Set it Up article.
By selecting the method that best fits your hotel's operations and guest preferences, you can enhance the check-in experience and streamline front desk operations.
