Duve allows you to automatically release access codes to guests based on trusted triggers. In addition to time-based and manual release options, you can now release access codes based on the reservation status in your Property Management System (PMS).
This feature ensures that access codes are shared only after a reservation is officially checked in within your PMS, helping you improve security, reduce operational risk, and align access automation with your existing workflows.
Availability and limitations
This feature is available only for accounts connected to one of the following PMS providers:
- Mews
- OHIP
- Cloudbeds
How to configure access code release by PMS status
Settings > Access codes settings > Reservation status > PMS status
Reservation log entry
When codes are released, Duve adds the following log entry to the reservation:
“Codes were released after PMS reservation status changed to {{X}}.”
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I choose any PMS status as a trigger?
Yes. Duve displays the status values received directly from your PMS, and you can select the one that best matches your operational flow.
Will access codes be released based on time if PMS Status is selected?
No. When PMS Status is selected, access codes are released only when the reservation reaches the chosen PMS status.
