The new user permission Brand Manager capabilities give property groups greater control over user access at the brand level. Managers can now add, remove, and assign roles for users specifically tied to the brands they oversee, without needing full company-wide access.
Overview
Previously, only Company Managers could manage users. Now, Brand Managers can handle team permissions for the specific brands they manage. This is especially helpful for multi-brand operators who want to decentralize user management while maintaining clear boundaries between teams.
For example:
- A Company Manager can still access and manage everything across all brands.
- A Brand Manager can now add users, assign roles, and remove users-but only within the brands they are responsible for.
How to Set It Up
- Go to: Settings → Users & Teams
- Company Managers can:
- Assign users the Manager role
- Specify which brand(s) each manager can oversee
- Brand Managers can:
- View only users connected to their assigned brand(s)
- Add or remove users from those brands
- Assign roles and permissions within the scope of their own
- See a new “Brands” column in the Users table for quick reference
Important Notes:
- Brand Managers can only remove a user if that user is associated only with brands they manage
- Brand Managers cannot delete other Brand Managers or change their roles/permissions
- Only Company Managers can switch a user’s brand or access level across multiple brands
Tips & Tricks
- For users associated with multiple brands, consider whether a Company Manager should make permission changes.
- Brand Managers can only grant permissions they themselves no overreaching allowed.
