A: The best way to set up this question is to set a Multiple Choice question, and create options for Family, Vacation, Business.
Q: How can I get my guests to acknowledge my house rules?
A: You have the option to set up a mandatory check box, so the guest is unable to proceed with the check-in process without acknowledging the information and checking the box.
Q: How do I create a question based on the arrival option selected (for example - if arriving by car, I want to ask for the license number)?
A: You cannot condition a custom question by the arrival option chosen. However, you can create a custom question asking for the arrival options, and then create another one that relies on the answer of the first one. Please see article for further instructions -
Q: How can I create custom questions only for one of my brands?
A: You have the option to condition CQ by brand. Under the CQ Settings > Limit Question by > Brands > Choose the brand/s.
Q: Where do I see the answers to the custom questions?
A: The answers to the custom questions appear on the reservation page, and in the check in summary email.
Q: Can I get a notification for any specific question/answer (for example- if needs a baby cot)?
A: We currently do not have this capability in the system. However, you can add an email to receive the check in summary emails (General > Notification emails) which contain the answers.
Q: What are External ID for Custom questions used for?
A: The external ID in the custom questions is only for Masteryield customers, to push the information to the correct field in the PMS.
Q: Can we collect information and push it back to the PMS?
A: It depends on the PMS, some PMSs like Mews, for example, has a field match you can choose in the CQ settings, so the system will know where to place the information in the PMS guest profile.
