The Opt-out for Marketing feature was created to give our customers the option to choose to allow their guests to opt-out of Marketing communications. For access to this feature and to learn more, please contact your Customer Success Manager or Duve Support.
How it works
Go to the Marketing section in your Settings. Settings>Check-in>Marketing.
Enable the toggle to start your setup.
Choose from 1 of 2 options:
- Opt in to marketing by default - If enabled, guests will be opted-in by default and must click the box to be opted-out
- Get Approval for marketing content - If enabled, guests must click the checkbox to opt-in to the marketing

Once the desired option is chosen, adjust the message to inform the guest depending on whether opt-in or opt-out is selected.
For example:
Adjust your translations as needed and then Save.
The Guest Experience
In either case, the guest will see a blank checkbox, which they can either click or not, depending on their preference. The Message Text will indicate to the guest whether they would like to click or not.
