The Opt-out for Marketing feature was created to give our customers the option to choose to allow their guests to opt-out of Marketing communications. For access to this feature and to learn more, please contact your Customer Success Manager or Duve Support.
How it works
Go Settings > Check-in > Marketing tab. Enable the toggle to start your setup.
Choose from 1 of 2 options:
- Opt in to marketing by default - If enabled, guests will be opted-in by default and must click the box to be opted-out (Note: Must only be enabled after having thoroughly checked that such practice is compliant with local regulations)

Get Approval for marketing content - If enabled, guests must click the checkbox to opt-in to the marketing

Once the desired option is chosen, adjust the message to inform the guest depending on whether opt-in or opt-out is selected.
Adjust your translations as needed and then Save.
The Guest Experience
In either case, the guest will see a blank checkbox, which they can either click or not, depending on their preference. The Message Text will indicate to the guest whether they would like to click or not.
